Coach Rohr Resumes Role As 20 Eagles Train In Uyo

For the first time in 22 years, South Africa’s governing party, African National Congress (ANC), has lost control of the country’s largest city and economic centre, Johannesburg.
This comes after the city council elected as Mayor, Herman Mashaba From the opposition Democratic Alliance (DA).
The ANC had run the city since the fall of apartheid in 1994 but it lost its council majority in local elections, although it is still the largest party.

Earthquake Leaves At Least 21 Dead In Central Italy

Italy Grieves As State Funeral Held For Victims Of Powerful Quake

Weeping relatives hugged each other and reached out to touch the simple wooden coffins at a state funeral held on Saturday for some of the 290 people killed in an earthquake this week.
Amongst the 35 coffins laid out in a sports hall were small caskets holding the bodies of an 18-month-old baby and a nine-year-old girl, two of the 21 children who are known to have died when the quake hit central Italy early on Wednesday.
