Nigerian Govt. Asked To Create Conducive Business Environment To Revamp Economy
As the Nigerian government grapples with revamping the nation’s economy, ideas are coming in from more concerned individuals on how to get out of recession faster.
At a strategic conference on leadership and governance at the weekend in River State, various speakers touched on the need for the creation of a conducive business environment by the government, as a way of re-energising the private sector.
Saraki Pushes For Use Of Aso-Oke By School Pupils To Grow Naira
The Nigerian Senate President is pushing for the use of Aso-Oke, a popular fabric in western Nigeria, as material for school pupil’s caps and cardigans.
Dr. Bukola Saraki, made the proposal in a tweet on his Twitter page on Sunday.
He says, “with this, we would have generated hundreds of thousands of jobs and generate enough revenue for our state and the country and large”.
Trump Says Up To Three Million Migrants ‘To Be Targeted’
US President-elect, Donald Trump, says he will deport or jail up to three million illegal migrants initially.
Those targeted would be migrants with criminal records, such as gang members and drug dealers, he told US broadcaster CBS in an interview.
The BBC wrote that he also confirmed that another election promise, to build a wall with Mexico, still stood but could include fencing.
