U.S. President Barack Obama, has criticised Donald Trump’s recent remarks about women, saying they would be unacceptable even for someone applying for a job at a 7-Eleven store.
At a rally supporting Hillary Clinton in North Carolina, Mr Obama has now urged senior republicans to formally withdraw their endorsement of Mr Trump as presidential candidate.
According to him, Mr Trump “does not have the temperament or the judgement or the knowledge or apparently the desire to obtain the knowledge and basic honesty that a president needs to have”.
Many top republicans have distanced themselves from the party’s nominee over a video in which he boasts of groping women.
Mr Trump has, however, accused them of disloyalty.
